(since Oct 30 '02)
April 17 '03, McCoy's Tavern in Olympia McCoys was cool, I ran out of diapers so sled danced the poop dance solo. I laughed my fucking ass off do to this being my first time to check it out and not do it too. We sounded good and so did the Dead Pornstarz check em out in our link page. McCoys has got a way better sound system than ever(soon they'll be fast hooking it up), but all in all it was a fun show (McCoys tavern if you don't know was the SSG's first show ever, and also the first place to put our album in the juke box{WICH LATER GOT PULLED CUZ I STARTED A BAR FIGHT} of course I was shit faced and don't remember doing shit but last night was the first time Sled dog could come back into McCoys cuz he did the same a month or so back! lol, p.s. Sled dog didn't drink and was our Designated-Driver for me and Speedoman. kooo all in all the SLED DOG ON THIN ICE TOUR was a success. (review by Corn)
April 15 '03, The Rainbow Club in Seattle Rainbow club would of been great if i wouldn't of forgot my fucking I.D. i couldn't check out any of the Seatle M.C.'s execpt the end of the guys before us and the first few minuites of the guy who rapped after us. the show was cool though and sounded dope they have a good sound system, but me being a dumb fuck had MINOR writting over my head, but o well i'm sure we will be back for Teusday night hip hop soon, the crowd was shocked but most of em laughed there ass off and loved it. Sled dog and I chilled on UW campus and around the area of the Ave and frat houses and on the way home we stopped at the 24 hour Subway like at 4 something at night. we were getting a footlong and shooting the shit with the kid, we asked if he'd ever heard of SSG and he was like "I am a Sesame Street Gangsters" we dug that hella. Homeboy hooked us up true SSG style, Go there to get a late night grub for they are way cooler than the fat ass Jared, the only reason why he lost so much weight anyways is cuz he had AIDS. (review by Corn)
April 14 '03, Charlie's Well once again Charlies rocked good packed house 1.50 well drinks and the sound guy T.J. made SSG sound dope. This was a kewl show the band Explosion kicked ass, and every mother fucker partied hard and had fun. After the show we filmed some drunk SSGTV shit with a couple of friends. Probably most of it a waste of film but we'll get a few clips that will be good. SSG's down for Charlies, it's fun for us and the crowd cuz it's really the only place people party down on a monday night in thurston county, so go if your a true warrior. (review by Corn)
April 11 '03, The Mongolian Grill Well for starters the show sucked, it was cool and all with alot of and people who had a good time but the sound sounded like shit the balnce of bass and treble was horrible with a grip of feedback, but the band that played after us Justify sounded killer? we used the same p.a.?? i don't get it. but the mongolian are working on getting the clubs sound system going. i was back at the mongo 4 days later and they are getting their shit put up fast, although the band Headless pez trashed the joint but good. any ways we play their WED THE 23rd with cheap ass bear speacials like 2 dollar oil cans of Fosters and dollar beer mmm Busch.lol (review by Corn)
March 29 '03, The Shoboat Last time for the shoboat but the owner of the club bought Slick Ricks and that will soon be a bad ass club for sure. This was like the second to the last day of showboat The sound is great there so I'm sure Slick Ricks sound will be as good or better. Pobabaly better, The Biznuatics played with us again and rocked out with there cocks out, we played with some band from cali called Lourain Drive that were cool, poor fellas had to drive nonstop to cali for a show early the next day, i'm sure they did it though they were determined and high on coke. (review by Corn)
March 5 '03, The Mongolian Grill Well College Night Rocked!!! There was a ton of people at the Mongolian over 100, pretty dam good for aWendsday night. The beer specials kicked ass and every one that was 21and over was shit faced by the time we got done with our set. SSG rawkedthe mother fucking house again. kinda sucked for the band after us cuzeveryone left when they started to play, what can i say were a tough actto follow. we will be sure to get another show lined up there for sure.love Corndog. and p.s. with the money we made from the bar and sellingc'd's that night, we went and bought two fifteens with horns p'a' speakersoff of someone that was at our show. woo-hhhhoooooo. (review by Corn)
March 1 '03, The Shoboat The Shoboat in Tacoma , this was the second time we had played there, we played with The Biznautics and Lazy Plain. I was impressed with both bands. The Biznautics brought a lot of fans, hopefully some of them are now SSG fans. (review by Sled)
Feb, 15 '03, The Shoboat The Shoboat in Tacoma was definitely a cool show. We played with three metal bands. I think we made alot of new fans because a lot of people there had never seen us. The cool thing about it was that it was age 18 and up but there was a bar for 21 and up. On the downside, most of the people in the bar couldn't see us. They booked another show for us with The Biznautics on March 1st which will be all ages and should start at 5pm. After our performance we sold all of the CD's we brought and Corndog walked around wearing some balloon animal on his head. What a Freak! (review by Sled)
Feb, 3 '03, Charlie's Tavern Charlie's Tavern told us that Monday nights were the slowest nights for them so we were expecting a lame show. It actually turned out to be quite a show. We noticed alot of people laughing and the owner really seemed to like us. After playing before a band called De-kre-pit, Corn and I started drinking. The owner wanted a second performance so we played a few more songs and Corndog ended up doing a freestyle battle with one of the bartenders, and, of course, won. The owner liked us so much that she scheduled another performance show for us in March. (review by Sled)
Dec 28 '02, Santa's Ball Santa's Ball, was an overall success, the Little Rock Grange was a pretty cool place to play, a good amount of people showed up and the bands were good. Headless Pez put on quite a show as usual, and Chief rocked. The crowd seemed pretty enthusiastic, some women and men flashed the audience during our performance. A group of teenage girls kept rushing the stage to get their pictures taken with Corndog, and some guys from Headless Pez kept rushing the stage to slap Corn's belly in hopes of making it turn pink. Corndog claims that he will get his revenge! We played a few song's that had previously never been performed live:"SSG,Back Again" (a Boyz 2 Men remake) & "The Fat Cassidy and the Mathemetician", as well as a couple of SSG Christmas songs. The crowd seemed to like them. We look forward to our main-man Gazoo throwing some more shows! (review by Sled)
Nov 1 '02, Swankfest Swankfest , held annually for the last 8 years in Lakewood WA by french canadian porn-star Patrique Swank, was a real monster of a party. Hundreds if not a thousand people, 15 kegs that went quickly, hundreds of jello shots, loads of Jagermeister, plenty of mixed drinks, a 250 lb roasted pig, and plenty of bare breasts all helped make the party what it was. There were two stages; one for bands and one for DJ's. All kinds of people showed up of all ages; rockers, homies, preppies, pretty women, not so pretty women. Next year's party is planned to be in August or September (for warmer weather). All in all, it was real swank, and the Sesame Street Gangsters look forward to playing there again next year.(review by Sled)
Oct,30 '02 Hollow's Eve Deathfest A Stripper in Portland OR heard our CD and loves dancing to the song Kiddie Porn. On October 30 '02 the Sesame Street Gangsters played a badass show at The Paris Theater in Portland called the Hollow's Eve Deathfest(click here for a review of the show) with a band that we met from being on the Insane Clown Posse website called Cadavers on Kitestrings. There was plenty of people, cool costumes, axes, and more stuffed animal guts than I've seen in my life time (use your imagination). Anyhow, our friend from Portland, Scott, took us to a strip bar afterward where we got to see a local dancer get on down to Kiddie Porn, and Drunk Funk. She said she was a big fan and would do anything for a CD, too bad we didn't have an extra! No need to worry, we'll be back! Review by Sled
